Dr. Petia Kremen is a board-certified physician of internal medicine as well as integrative and holistic medicine. She has practiced medicine for over fifteen years. Dr. Kremen’s medical study includes a medical degree from the University of Varna in Bulgaria, advanced techniques in western medicine in London, and research projects (including alternative therapies at Stanford University) and working for the innovative firm Intuitive Surgical in California. Additionally, Dr. Kremen completed postgraduate training at UCLA’s Kern Medical Center, as well as a rigorous internal medicine residency, earning the coveted “Excellence in Medicine” award and a second Doctor of Medicine Degree (MD) degree.

Dr. Kremen has worked in diverse health environments including a mega HMO, private hospitals, county hospitals, student health, urgent care, and other outpatient settings, resulting in a broad range of experience in treating challenging cases. This experience revealed the efficacy of conventional western medicine in situations involving advanced degree of dysfunction of the organism. But it also revealed its weakness in providing guidance for preventing these conditions.

This led Dr. Kremen to study and apply integrative and holistic medicine. In her practice, Dr. Kremen lives by the saying that “a good physician treats the disease, but the great one the person.” Her approach to healing includes in-depth data gathering from her patients on problems, wellness, genetics, environment, lifestyle, and relevant experiences; a careful exam of the patients’ physical status; and comprehensive treatment that spans standard medical/chemical, osteopathy, herbal, and functional medicine.
